In March, SNOCRU, the mobile tracking app for skiers and snowboarders, launched a fundraising campaign in support of the High Fives Foundation. SNOCRU users would navigate to the newsfeed section of the app, and ‘high five’ their cru’s resort check-ins and other status updates, and SNOCRU donated $.50 for each high five. In the end, the fundraiser produced 11,253 high fives, resulting in a total donation of $5626.50 in just the month of March.
In addition, SNOCRU also partnered with Protect Our Winters (POW) to produce the film Momenta, about the negative effects of coal export in the Pacific Northwest, and how that affects the winter sports community.
SNOCRU is a free smartphone app that caters to anyone who enjoys getting after it and competing with friends on the hill; we have grown to love the app through various powder days and gear testing.
