Perhaps one of the most scenic ski towns in the world, Colorado’s Crested Butte Mountain Resort exudes beauty no matter the season. This Rocky Mountain gem has seen light snow throughout the fall, with the most recent accumulation clocking in nearly half a foot up top. After the dusting, the mountain’s quintessential butte, aka summit, stretched toward the clouds covered in white as the golden-yellow and green trees surrounded the base of the mountain. Taylor Ahearn was on site with a camera at the ready, so thankfully, we can all enjoy the incredible sights from this surreal September morning in the full photo gallery below.
Of course, CBMR looks even better (somehow) when the snow really starts falling! Not to mention the skiing isn’t half bad… and by that, we mean the resort hosts some of the most lift-accessed extreme terrain you’ll find in North America. If you’re making the wise decision to plan a trip there this winter, we recommend securing an Epic Pass to get the best bang for your buck. Prices are set to go up on October 9th, and with limited lift tickets, you’ll want to act fast.
