After eight hard-charging days of ski testing, our 2014 All-Mountain ski test came to a close on Sunday. Throughout the week, we ran the SNOCRU app, which allowed us to keep track stats and locations for over forty testers and staffers. For those who tended to dip away from the group to find their own private pow stash, the SNOCRU app proved imperative when it came time to meet up once again for après.

We also ran a contest throughout the week in conjunction with SNOCRU, wherein the ski test participant who amassed the largest CRU by the end of the week would have $2,000 donated in their name to Protect Our Winters. When all was said and done, Freeskier’s own Nicole Birkhold came out victorious. The contribution will go toward POW’s fight against climate change.

SNOCRU is a free smartphone app that caters to anyone who enjoys getting after it and competing with friends on the hill; we have grown to love the app through various powder days and gear testing.
