Press Release provided by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort:

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the new GoPro Steep & Deep Camp as an innovative addition to the Mountain Sports School camp line up for Winter 2014-15. This January 14 -17, 2015 heritage Steep & Deep Camp is getting a modern twist with the addition of GoPro POV camera instruction. New this year the early morning tram laps, hard core charging and small group instruction will be supplemented by GoPro camera integration throughout the camp. After using GoPro’s in the field during the day, evening sessions will let campers review and edit their footage, while learning tips and tricks from Andrew Whiteford, professional skier and action sports POV video icon.

During this intensive camp, students learn how to safely and confidently explore the advanced terrain and snow conditions that make Jackson Hole famous. Offering the highest level of instruction, expert coaches provide tips on finding the best line, reading a slope, steep skiing etiquette, and terrain selection. Guided by instructors’ knowledge of the conditions and the mountain, students ski mostly black and double black terrain. Highlights include the Hobacks, the Expert Chutes, and, on the last day, the infamous Corbet’s Couloir. Each participant will be asked to bring their personal GoPro or will be loaned one to work with throughout the week, and with on-mountain and after ski instruction campers will leave the camp with a strong understanding of POV filming and editing.

*Participants must bring their own laptops
