Press Release: MT HOOD, OR — May 2011 — Campers will be greeted by the best snow conditions in the country with Mount Hood’s record snowfall. Windells demo shop will be loaded with 2012 gear so campers will be the first to get a glimpse of and demo the goods. Additionally, Windells is offering a $200 discount to college students for session one as well as discount for international campers. As of the writing of this, there is still availability for session one but campers will have to act quickly.
Among the offseason improvements to Windells Camp is the expansion of its snow park making it stretch over a mile and a half long. “A mile and a half park is unheard of – you don’t see that anywhere. We are incredibly excited about our park – it now has to be the biggest in North America,” said Tim Windell. “With the record snowfall, the conditions on the hill are like the best I’ve seen in a long time.” Windells will also be debuting the first ever “vet” airbag for half pipe riding.
Session One campers will be among the first people in the country to check out and demo 2012 gear from the following: Burton, Ride, Libtech, Gnu, yes, Salomon, Atomic, Volkl, Surface, Amplid, 4frnt, Armada, Full Tilt, 32, Union and Creature.
Those who attend the camp have the option to stay overnight or just attend daily. Prices are $1549 for the week for day camp and $1749 for overnight and include; lift tickets, instruction, food, prizes, transportation, supervision, video review, camp activities and more.
