As seen in the February 2010 Issue of Freeskier Magazine

Welcome to the fifth installment of Trick Tip Tuesdays. Here we'll revisit our vast archive of trick tips from the past, to get you in fighting shape for summer camp. In this trick tip, TJ Schiller takes a page out of his everyday playbook to show you his switch rodeo 540. While TJ pretty much has a patent on the trick, you'll be giving him a run for his money in no time.

Step 1:
Find a jump you're comfortable on and do a couple switch 180s to get the speed dialed.

Step 2:
Once you're ready to try your new trick, ride into the jump switch while staring at the lip of the take off.

Step 3:
When you reach the lip, pop and roll over your left shoulder (if you spin left) to set the rotation. It's just like throwing a misty 5, you're just doing it backwards.

Step 4:
Immediately after takeoff, you can take a quick glance to spot your landing before you are blind for a moment.

Step 5:
As you continue into the rotation lift your legs towards you and hold your core tight. This will allow you to get the trick around and make it easier to grab. Here, I am grabbing Japan.

Step 6:
Once you've got your legs in and your grab dialed, you should be able to spot your landing again. If you set the trick properly, you should just come around, looking at the landing the whole time.

Step 7:
Hold your grab as long as possible. You'll be staring at the landing, so don't be scared. You'e going to land.

Step 8:
Let go of the grab and get ready for the landing.

Step 9:
Take the landing deep and just stomp. Ride away and get a tan.
