Sun Valley to introduce 22′ superpipe for 2012/13 season

Sun Valley has announced the addition of a 22′ superpipe to its park for the 2012/13 season; the pipe is expected to open within the week. Situated on Dollar Mountain, it’s the only 22’ superpipe in the Northwest. The news follows in the wake of the announcement that Sun Valley will host the Orage Masters in April of this year. The adoption of a marquee event like the Masters, coupled with the addition of the new pipe demonstrate Sun Valley’s strong commitment to the park and pipe movement.

Regarded by many as the birthplace of hot dog skiing, Sun Valley is once again emerging as a true hot spot for park and pipe skiers. Under the guidance of Snow Park Technologies for the past three ski seasons, Sun Valley has drawn the likes of Level 1 and other film crews for regular spring shoots, built parks for all ability levels and implemented more than 20 new jib features.
