Nipwitz releases webisode 4: See the edits and learn about the crew

"Ski movies are boring as hell and we want to change that." That's what the Nipwitz crew out of Finland states on their website.

They go on to note, "We did not like the way [the] ski movie industry followed the same pattern year after year making the films predictable and uninteresting." That in mind, they set a goal for themselves to create short films that would be more engaging.

One year after incorporating Nipwitz, the group has gained a solid following. Garnering 100,000+ views of their edits, they earned the award for Best 2010 Webisode at the iF3 Film Festival in Annecy, France. Their films are extremely well produced, feature creative riding and convey the idea that skiing is all about fun. Sounds cliché, I know, but this idea is not forced, it comes across naturally suggesting a genuine passion for the sport and for their films.

In their latest release, Episode 4, which went live over the weekend, the crew takes a more serious tone. Or do they?

Whether or not the Nipwitz crew truly has Olympic aspirations is for you to decide; just watch the episode and you'll know what I'm talking about. One way or another, this video is absolutely not "boring as hell," and we applaud the Nipwitz crew for their work; we're looking forward to whatever they've got in store for the upcoming season.

What's up with these darn Fins?! Check out this interview with Juho Kilkki of the Real Skifi crew that we did a few weeks back. Different group of Finnish riders, same creative style.
