Each posting their second win of the 2013/14 competition season, in as many contests, Nick Goepper and Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen have established themselves as the ones to beat going forward.
On a sunny day at New Zealand’s Cardrona Alpine Resort—amid a stacked field—Goepper earned himself the gold with a run that included a handplant over the top jib feature; a switch-up, pretzel 270 out of the flat-down; a switch on, rodeo 450 out of the canon rail; a rightside double cork 12 mute; a switch left double 10 Japan and a switch right double 9 screamin’ Japan.
On the ladies’ side, Sjåstad Christiansen skied her way to the top of the podium with a 270 off the top feature; a clean switch-on to the down rail; a forward 450 out of the canon; a left 5 mute; switch right 5 tail and a 720 leading tail on the bottom booter.
Video of the runs can be seen here.
