Colorado Powder Forecast: A Full Weekend of Snow

Colorado Powder Forecast: A Full Weekend of Snow

Colorado Powder Forecast for week of Feb. 3

    HIGHLIGHTS

  • No more super cold weather. Sweet!
  • Snow starts on Saturday
  • Deepest days are likely Mon & Tue

Wow…THAT was a cold week. With temperatures bottoming out at -42F in the northern Colorado valleys and many mountains not getting above zero for almost 48 hours, making turns took a back seat to keeping all fingers, toes, and ears intact.

But the good news is that the coldest weather is behind us and now we can look forward to a long-duration storm bringing lots of powder over the weekend and into next week.

The next storm will start on Friday night and continue through Tuesday. It will NOT snow hard for all four days, but the storm will come in waves with 6-12 hours of heavier snow followed by 6-12 hours of lighter (or no) snow. The deepest totals will fall along the I-70 mountains and north, though the central and southern mountains could get in on the action as well.

Stay tuned for more details on the storm at www.ColoradoPowderForecast.com.
