Colorado Powder Forecast for week of April 7
- HIGHLIGHTS
- Warm and windy Fri/Sat
- Heavier snow Sat night
- Powder Sun AM for most areas
I hope you hit the slopes last Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. After summer temperatures on Saturday (April 2nd) with readings into the 60s, a strong cold front dropped tons of snow on Sunday. It was two seasons for the price of one in just a single weekend. That’s why Colorado rocks.
After a few dry days, the last storm targeted opposite sides of the state on Wednesday and Wednesday night as Steamboat (north) and Purgatory, Silverton, and Wolf Creek (south) all saw about a 1/2 foot of snow.
Following two dry (but windy) days on Friday and Saturday, another storm will throw down powder on Saturday night. Sunday morning should ski nicely with perhaps another 1/2 foot of snow falling overnight Saturday for lucky areas.
Stay tuned to www.ColoradoPowderForecast.com for the details as the next storm rolls through.
