Fischer continues to make waves in the freeski world with the Nightstick series. They’ve worked closely with Kendall Goodman and the rest of their robust athlete team to craft this ski. Built for the jib-loving skier who prefers to roam the mountain, the Nightstick 97 is perfect for big airs off natural features and quick turns through tight terrain. At 97-mm underfoot, it’s great for the skier who wants one ski that can handle most days on the mountain, inside or outside of the park, frontside or backside, from low tide to a foot of fresh.
“The Nightstick 97 has a heightened level of playfulness, blended with the precision that Fishcer has brought for generations,” our tester claimed. “This ski loves soft snow almost as much as I do, if that’s even possible. They were super playful and fun! We found variable conditions in the steep trees, but the Nightstick 97 quickly made its way through with confidence.”
Fischer’s Freeski Rocker creates a wonderfully playful ski that enables quick tail release and fluid switch riding. This is complemented by a poplar wood core and enhanced by Fischer’s Air Tec. This core combination produces a ski that’s full of energy and life but weighs 25-percent less than your typical poplar core for an improved swing weight. The nimble feel of this ski is backed by a sandwich sidewall construction which utilizes an ABS plastic for a consistent flex and snappy rebound.
We can confidently say, if you’re looking for a ski that will enable progression in the park and double as a surfy ride around the mountain, the Nightstick 97 will suit you well.
