Jake and Brady have once again produced on of the best ski films you’ll see all year. ‘Something In The Water’ is a sub 10 minute masterpiece that takes us from Salt Lake to Washington to Sweden, all through the talented vision of Brady Perron. With a brilliant eye behind the camera, Brady’s distinctive style engulfs the viewer in the bizarre sights that might often go unseen, or from an angle hardly noticed. It is this beautiful irregularity and incredible aesthetic that delivers so much charm to the film.
The filming work is a perfect complement to the skiing of Jake Mageau. One of the most creative skiers in the world, Jake is one of a growing number of skiers who are constantly bringing life and growth to the sport. His riding is, as you probably already know, a beautiful blend between eccentric and refined. Simply put, it’s a f*cking blast to watch.
As Parker White so aptly stated, “Brady and Jake are in a league of their own”. Their unique craftsmanship in their respective fields has produced some of the greatest short films we’ve seen.
