Park City sets the Guinness World Record for longest shot-ski

On Saturday, October 22, Park City made history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest shot-ski in the world.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wasatch Brewery, 1,191 people lined up in the middle of Park City’s Main Street to throw back some of Wasatch’s Premium Ale the best way skiers know how—with a 961-foot-long shot-ski. People paid $15 to participate, with proceeds benefitting the Sunrise Rotary. A few pro skiers, such as Tom Wallisch and Noah Wallace, joined in the fun, as well.

This shatters the previous record of 881 participants, set during Breckenridge’s annual Ullr Fest this past January.
