In the latest development of the ongoing season pass war between Vail Resorts and Alterra Mountain Company, Crested Butte, Okemo and Mount Sunapee will all be joining the Epic Pass for the 2018-19 ski season. Passholders of the Epic, Epic Local and Epic Australia passes will all receive seven days with zero blackout dates at each resort.

Okemo and Sunapee are both located within driving distance of all major New England metropolitan areas, while Crested Butte has long attracted skiers sick of the traffic problems of Interstate 70 resorts. This marks Vail Resorts’ fourth big splash in recent months, having announced that Kicking Horse, Fernie and the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, as well asTelluride and Hakuba Valley, Japan have joined the 2018-19 Epic Pass frenzy. Alterra, meanwhile, just announced that skiers will receive unlimited days at Mammoth Mountain via the Ikon Bass pass and Big Sky Resort just joined the Mountain Collective for 2018-19.

It’s anyone’s guess what happens next. For more information, click here.
