Park City is mourning the loss of ski patroller, Christian Helger

Park City ski patrol is still mourning the loss of fellow ski patroller Christian Helger after his sudden and tragic passing on the mountain last week. During a wind event, a tree fell onto the cable of the Short Cut lift, which catapulted Helger off the chair he was sitting on and sending him 25-50 feet below to a hard-to-reach ravine. It is still undetermined if Helger passed from trauma during the incident or suffocation in the chest-deep snow he fell into. Our deepest condolences go out to Helger’s friends and family.

Kings and Queens of Corbet’s announced the athlete roster for 2023

One of the most exciting competitions of the season is back for 2023. Among the athletes competing are Alex Hackel, Blaine Gallivan, Colby Stevenson, Corey Jackson, Jake Hopfinger, Karl Fostvedt and Parkin Costain for the men, and Amy David, Juliette Willmann, Piper Kunst and Veronica Paulsen for the women. Kings and Queens is set to take place the week of February 4-11.

Blizzard launched its new 2023-23 freeride collection early

In close partnership with its team of hard-charging freeride athletes like Caite Zeliff, Connery Lundin and Marcus Caston, Blizzard has somehow made the already highly sought-after freeride skis even better. With the goal of creating a ridiculously fun ski with enough pop, play and float to make even the flattest hills feel like the ultimate joy ride while maintaining balance for confidence at high speeds and in variable terrain, the development team had their work cut out for them. After rounds and rounds of testing and tweaking, the designers and athletes came to a satisfying conclusion.

Level 1’s Rail Jam Tour kicked off at Sugarbush

The first stop of the highly anticipated 2023 Level1 Rail Jam Tour went off with a bang at Sugarbush Parks, Vermont. The one and only Dasha Agafonova took home the women’s prize, while Forre’s own Harald Hellström took home the men’s cash prize.

Meathead Films legends The Hammer and Radio Ron join the party in the final episode of Promised Land where the bumps are bashed and the last days of the 2021-22 season come to a rowdy close on the slopes of Killington, Vermont.

Sage Cattabriga Alosa ‘Takes a Lap’ with Grant Howard

Freeskiing legend Sage Cattabriga Alosa sent it down to Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon to hop on the Wildcat lift at Alta with Grant Howard. “Got a couple of cameo’s from Andrew Pollard, and a tease of Mitchel Brower, (next weeks guest). Tried out captions for the first time but I rushed em, and they are kinda messed up, Ill work on getting those dialed Sorry bout that, ha. thanks for watching!! Cheers—S”
