FREESKIER’s Auction For Action is putting the FUN back in FUNdraiser. With over $40,000 of ski gear, lift tickets, exclusive travel experiences, limited edition merchandise and more, it’s easy for skiers to give back during these times of need. All proceeds from the event will go directly to GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund.

Mt. Baldy is first ski area to reopen amidst coronavirus crisis

Mt. Baldy, California, announced this week that it would begin operations with strict social distancing guidelines, taking notes from golf courses. Face masks are required at all times and there will be a cap on how many skiers can be on the mountain at one time.

Eagle County to be the first Colorado county to re-open after statewide stay at home order

After seeking two full weeks of declining cases of coronavirus, Eagle County, Colorado, has applied to lift the stay at home mandate and slowly reopen local businesses. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said in a live address that he intends to be in Eagle County on Thursday or Friday for the announcement.

Arapahoe Basin keeps plans to replace iconic Pallavinci Lift

Despite current business closures and other uncertainties as a result of COVID-19, Colorado’s Arapahoe Basin plans to go ahead with its replacement of two iconic chairlifts, Pallavinci and Molly Hogan. A-Basin will be hosting a lottery to sell the old chairs and will be auctioning off a handful of them to benefit Front Range non-profits.

Silverton Mountain offering $99 season passes, $39 single-ride heli passes for 20-21

As ski resorts big and small cope with the difficulties of a shortened season, Silverton Mountain, one of Colorado’s biggest and baddest ski areas, is now offering season passes for just $99; heli-ride add-ons are just $39 extra. The Early Bird passes will provide access to the mountain (without a guide) between Wednesday-Friday all next season, but the resort is only selling a limited amount, so act fast.
