‘The Fall Of 07’ – movie premiere
October 30, 2007 – SLC, UT
From Julain Carr
After a couple years of mysterious reports of a new film company emerging from Utah, it is now official. The Levitation Project held its first ever film release in downtown Salt Lake City October 30, 2007. The entire Levitation Project posse was in attendance, all sporting black Levitation Jerseys – from owner Nico Melendez, cinematographers, photographers, and athletes.
The party was ridiculous with a line well over a block long to get in on the rendevous. The movie itself is free to download at www.levitationproject.com The Fall Of 07 is the first movie of its kind to seamlessly showcase skiers/snowboarders, captured by veteran cinematographers, all shot on 16mm, for free.
The movie was shot in Mica Creek British Columbia, Whistler, Pemberton, Las Lenas Argentina, Crystal Mountain, Mt. Baker, Alpental, Tahoe, and Utah. The flick is neck deep in talent from both sides of the coin. Skiers include fresh face Rachael Burks, esteemed individual Dan Treadway, rowdy-roddy Billy Poole, me Julian Carr, line slayer Jamey Parks, even fresher Blake Nyman, and congenial Bryce Philips. Featured snowboarders are Phil Daminakes, Bode Merrill, Brandon Doyon, etc ..
I think it is safe to say we should expect good things from The Levitation Project for years to come. Levitation’s website is dropping December 1st.
