One of our favorite contests of the year is back for 2025! GoPro once again is on the hunt for the best ski and snowboard lines this winter. Every Month, from January to April, Ingrid Backstrom, Scott Gaffney, Elena Hight, Adam Jaber and Sage Kotsenburg will select a winner from four different categories: Men’s Ski, Women’s Ski, Men’s Snowboard and Women’s Snowboard. Each winner will receive $5,000, their line posted on GoPro’s social media and an opportunity to win the Line of the Winter. Come May, one athlete’s submission from each category will be selected to be crowned the Line of the Winter and awarded $10,000.

Now that you know how the contest works let’s look back at this year’s January ski line winners.

Men’s Ski

Logan is not only a professional skier, but he is also a professional snowmobiler which gives him a level of comfort in the backcountry that few possess. He shows this off in his winning clip by just throwing himself from pillow-to-pillow with seemingly carefree ease. When he finally lands on the flat ground he lets out a little giggle as if to say—that was easy.

Women’s Ski

Taking home a silver medal in a Freeride World Tour event and winning January’s Line of Winter in one run is pretty incredible and Justine Dufour Lapointe is just the one to do it. On a sunny day with incredible conditions in Val Thorens, Justine takes us for a ride filled with untouched pow turns, huge cliff drops and a floaty backflip. This run would also send her to first place in the overall women’s ski FWT rankings.

Our favorite part about this contest is that anyone with a GoPro can enter each month. All submissions must follow these specific rules:

  • 100% GoPro Capture
  • Raw POV Videos
  • Clear All Content Rights
  • Highest Resolution
  • No Crops + No Filters
