Bad weather forced our crew inside today for some planning and strategery. We took advantage of the time to map out the next few days of shooting with the guys and discuss how to we’re going to get it all done.

Our mission is a multi-faceted one: Im here to gather shots and film on the athletes who gather here around Wanaka and Queenstown each summer to train for the upcoming Northern Hemisphere ski season. As such, we’ll be shooting Simon, TJ, Pete O, Colby and anyone else who wanders past the motor drive of Chase Jarvis and company over the next few days. Chase Jarvis is here shooting a campaign for SanDisk – the purveyor of fine memory cards that we all use. Freeskier is here as a technical consultant on the shoot – helping bring the best athletes onboard to shoot the campaign and lend some credibility to the resulting imagery.

We’re also shooting a Freeskier TV show that will come out later in the year on the Ski Channel. So we’re busy down here -but I have to be honest – it’s an awesome place for a day job.
