Tune in live: 2013 Sammy Carlson Invitational
As I write, the countdown reads: 02 Days | 20 Hours | 53 Minutes | 22 Seconds.
This Saturday, May 25, the Sammy Carlson Invitational returns to Mt. Bachelor, OR. The aforementioned timer (posted on freeskier.com/live) counts down to the start of the official live stream—hosted right here on freeskier.com, and slated to begin at noon PST.
A stacked group of skiers have confirmed attendance. Among them: Tanner Hall, Henrik Harlaut, Phil Casabon, Paul Bergeron, Will Berman, Tim Durtschi and Clayton Vila. These guys, and many others, will join together for multiple jam sessions, throwing down over a hefty booter and across an 80-foot-wide, curved wallride. $15,000 is up for grabs, to be awarded throughout the day to the top performers.
The wallride comes together at Mt. Bachelor. Photos courtesy of @SammyCski on Instagram.
“My goal is just to get everyone together, and build the biggest, best features possible for everyone to throw down on and show off their stuff,” said Sammy in regards to his motivation for hosting the event. “Sort of like an end of season hurrah.”
After having a look at the photos above, you’ll surely agree: It’s going down—in a big way. Be sure to tune in.
