DAY 1 IS IN THE BOOKS
Well, well. Day 1 of the Bring It On! contest has come to a close. And, unlike most competitions, you are getting the results right away. No judges to consult (sorry about that Loubek, maybe next time) or politics to play. Your entries speak for themselves, the way it should be. Congrats go out to today’s winner Russell Blenkarn.
The first day brought a lot of interesting names to the table and a few surprises. First, for those of you who don’t know, CR Johnson, Eric Hjorleifson and Steele Spence are already members of the pro team. In fact, they are all owners of 4FRNT, so you may want to guess another name. Those guys are great, but they are NOT going to win you a pair of TNK’s. Also, my mom is not joining the pro team and neither is Afterbang – but props to those who are getting a bit creative.
What have we learned today? Well, we now know that the rider primarily competes in slopestyle and halfpipe, so he or she is a competition skier. We love the big mountain guys, but Eric Hjorleifson, CR Johnson and Wiley Miller will be representing pretty well this fall in the great ski flicks coming from MSP, TGR and Level 1 – not to mention rippers Erich Kunz and Torgrim Vole. So, we can say goodbye to Hugo Harrison, Chris Collins, Ian MacIntosh, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and my mom.
If you guessed one of these guys, well, your entry from today will not make it to the Grand Prize drawing. Now the good news: today is a new day and you have the chance to answer a new question and make a new guess as to who the rider might be. Remember, we will post a new question, related to the athletes identity, on 4FRNT.com. Each question is designed to build upon the information posted from the previous daily questions and provide clues as to this rider’s identity. Daily answers will all be building up to the final 12th question on June 20th. Answers will be posted daily on the site along with names of riders that contestants are guessing. Remember, we’re not telling who it is but we’ll post your guesses. With every daily answer posted, so will be the winner of the daily drawing and the names of who people think it may be.
