FREESKIER’s Auction For Action was a week-long silent auction to raise funds for front line medical workers and Coronavirus relief. We were blown away by the support we received when we announced the idea to the outdoor community. That’s right, with the help of all the aforementioned donors and generous bidders, we were able to raise more than $40,000 during this time of need. Without the support and contributions from ski and apparel brands, artists, photographers, ski resorts and hotels, the opportunity to give back to medical workers wouldn’t have been possible.
We thank the ski community and the FREESKIER audience for rallying around the Auction For Action and helping our collective to donate such a significant sum to GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund. Through GlobalGiving’s Disaster Recovery Network, all donations will be redistributed to locally vetted organizations in the hardest hit areas—groups on the ground that can make a bigger difference, faster.
