Alta Opens: Resort offers sneak preview

It’s almost enough to make you move to the Beehive state. Scratch that. It IS enough to make you move! [https://www.alta.com Alta] is opening this weekend for a sneak preview, well in advance of the ski area’s November 21’s “official” opening date.

The resort will only be open Saturday and Sunday, November 15th and 16th. Terrain on tap will be served via the This weekend’s skiing will be served by the Collins, Sunnyside and Sugarloaf chairlifts. Open services will include Goldminer’s Daughter Cafeteria, Deep Powder House, Motherlode Ski Shop, Albion Grill, Watson Shelter, Alta Ski Shop, Alta Sports and Alta Java.

Lift tickets will be priced at the normal rate of $64 for an all-day adult. As [https://www.alta.com Alta] is reusing RFID-enabled lift tickets, subsequent reloading of the ticket is priced at $59 per day.

As of this morning, [https://www.alta.com Alta] was reporting a mid-mountain settled snow depth of 29 inches, and snow is currently falling. [https://www.alta.com Alta’s] season-to-date snowfall totals 67 inches.

The mountain joins next door Snowbird and nearby (as the crow files) Brighton as one of three ski resorts running early season lifts.
