Getting There

To get to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, you’ll need to fly into Calgary International Airport (YYC), which is the closest major hub, about 2.5 hours away by car. From there, you can rent a car or book a shuttle. For those who prefer not to drive, the Champagne Powder Shuttle offers daily services between Calgary Airport and Golden (where Kicking Horse is located), with a travel time of approximately 3 hours. Alternatively, there are also direct shuttle services from Golden to the resort.

Other nearby airports include Canadian Rockies International Airport (Cranbrook, BC) and Kamloops Airport, both around 2.5 hours away by car. The resort is well-connected with other transportation options, including rental cars and local shuttle services once you’re in Golden. Additionally, Kicking Horse provides easy access for travelers driving through the scenic Trans-Canada Highway. If you’re coming from Banff or Calgary, the drive offers beautiful mountain views.

Parking at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is quite convenient, with multiple lots located at the base of the mountain. Visitors can park close to the gondola or in one of the additional overflow areas if the primary lots are full. Parking is typically free, although it can be busy during peak season, especially on weekends or powder days. For those staying in Golden or other nearby areas, there are also shuttle services available to ease access to the resort.
