Highlights: First-ever Red Bull ReDirect rocks Québec City, Canada

The first-ever Red Bull ReDirect competition hit the streets of Québec City, Canada last weekend. Twenty of our sport’s best street street skiers from across the globe were selected for the chance to ride the big league setup and claim a portion of the cash purse. At the end of the evening, Canadian J.F. Houle reigned supreme, with Magnus Graner (2) and Emile Bergeron (3) rounding out the podium.

Thanks to the fine folks at Ski The East, you can enjoy all of the highlights from the night in the recap video above.

“Leveraging the city’s iconic urban environment, existing landmarks and urban infrastructures were lit and repurposed as the basis for the course in lieu of traditional scaffolding elements,” writes Ski The East via Youtube. “This innovative approach provided competitors a truly unique and genuine riding terrain showcase.

A jam format was used to replicate a more authentic urban experience and allowed for more innovation and excitement. Ten international skiers met six local skiers and four Stairs Master wildcards in a battle for the Red Bull ReDirect trophy.”
