We’re headed into our third week of the ski season in the high country and most of us in the office have had the chance to dust off the sticks and get up to Loveland or A-Basin to sample the goods. After 16 ski seasons in Colorado, I can say with no exaggeration that this is one of the best early seasons I can remember. And here comes El Nino!
But not everyone is in Colorado where the altitude affords us longer winters than most – so for all the rest of you who are ready for the ski season to begin, below are some websites that will give you a good snap shot of when you’re local area opens, and what type of snow is hitting the high spots in your neighborhood. All of these sites offer a decent snow report and some have more complex options like lodging deals and other bells and whistles. Bookmark these sites for the season and you’ll have a good general idea of where the snow is deep.
For today’s purposes – for October Skiing – here’s a story we did yesterday on who is open right now:Who’s Open
Tell us your favorite website for snow conditions and we’ll add it to the list! Now – Go Skiing!
