Following on the heels of Candide Thovex’s highly anticipated Few Words world premiere in Paris, France, many in the States are wondering, “When am I going to be able to see that damn movie?” For some, the answer may have just come, as Quiksilver and Faction Skis have announced they are hosting a four-stop North American film tour, with premieres scheduled in Toronto, Boulder, Salt Lake City and Whistler.

A two-year project, Few Words tells the story of Candide Thovex—from his early beginnings, to X Games glory, to the top of the Freeride World Tour podium, and back down to the devastating lows of repeated injury. A man of “few words,” this film sheds light on one of freeskiing’s greatest icons. In two years of shooting, Candide and his crew circled the globe on the hunt for deep snow and pristine peaks; rest assured, in addition to a bit of story telling you’ll get your share of mind boggling action. See our review of the film here.

Quiksilver notes in a press release, “Directed by Matt Pain of Process films, renowned for his previous work in mountain-cinematography and history in design and 3D animation, Few Words exhibits a fresh angle in documenting Candide’s career, character and impact. Working with the RED Epic, Pain and Candide shot over 29 terabytes of imagery in the last two years to bring the film to life.”
