Thirty of skiing’s best competitive skier’s met atop Breckenridge, Colorado for the men’s slopestyle semifinals at the 2015 Winter Dew Tour, today. The format? Best of two runs, with the top ten scorers advancing to Sunday’s finals. Also, for the second straight year, the Dew Tour held a third run, last chance qualifier (LCQ), allowing for two additional athletes to advance to finals through a third and final run.

Per usual, Breckenridge and the Dew Tour provided a monstrous course with multiple features for the athletes to feast upon. As expected, each and every one of the competitors put their best tricks on the line for a chance to compete in the main event on Sunday, December 13.

While all thirty athletes provided top notch skiing, Slopestyle stud James ‘Woodsy’ Woods locked up the top qualifying spot on his first run and held it throughout the entire comp. Woodsy’s run included a switch 270 on to pretzel 270 out of the first rail, a switch 450 on to continuing 270 out of the second rail, a switch double cork 1260 safety on the first jump, a double cork 1080 safety on the second jump, a 630 out of the third rail, a double cork 1260 tail and a switch right double cork 1080 octo on the final jump, earning a score of 90.40. Woodsy showed incredible consistency throughout both of his runs today, even despite flat light and speed issues. It was darn impressive.

Wells posted a score of 89.80 on his first run through the park, including a switch right 270 on to continuing 270 out of the first rail feature, a 450 on to 270 out on the second rail, a right double cork 1080 safety on the first jump, a double cork 1260 mute on the second jump, a switch 270 on to 270 out and a right 270 on to continuing 270 out on the third rail section, a switch right double cork 1080 safety and a switch double cork 1080 safety on the final jump. As expected, Wells’ run was jam-packed with style, grace and an all black outfit.
