Colorado Powder Forecast: Big storm early next week

Colorado Powder Forecast: Big storm early next week

Colorado Powder Forecast for week of Mar. 3

    HIGHLIGHTS

  • Snow Fri for central/northern mountains
  • Light snow Sun/Mon
  • Heavy snow Mon PM and Tuesday – powder day!

When the sun comes out in March it really starts to feel like spring. But with two storms moving over Colorado during the next week, winter is still here.

The first storm will cross the state on Thursday into Friday. About a half-a-foot of snow will fall for most areas in the central and northern mountains. Since the storm is weakening a little bit as it passes by, accumulations will be a bit more sporadic. Overall, this is a good introductory storm, but it isn’t the real deal.

A far stronger storm will head our way on Sunday through Tuesday, with the heaviest snow falling on Monday night into Tuesday. I know it’s a long way away, but if you can take off one day to hit the pow in the next week, it looks like Tuesday is your day!

Stay tuned to www.ColoradoPowderForecast.com for the details as the weekend storm rolls in.
