The 2012/13 Park-Ski Test kicked off at Breckenridge today under blue skies, and with 60+ temperatures to boot. Although the warm weather of late has caused much snow to melt in Summit County, the Freeway and Park Lane terrain parks are primed for spring madness, and our talented squad of ski testers couldn't be more excited.
Our test team this week includes: Grant Savidge, Pat Goodnough, Kolby Ward, Stephen Smith, Will Berman, Maddie Baker, Charlie Owens, Michael Olenick, Cody Cirillo, Kirsten Cooley, Alicia Domsky, Chris Krance, Drew Van Gorder, Travis Perez, Maggie Stout and others.
For the next four days, Breck's Peak 8 will serve as our stomping ground. We'll be situated at the base of Chair 5, and we've got racks upon racks of 2012/13 park-skis to put to the test. Our testers will spin hot-lap after hot-lap, testing skis in the following departments: carving, stability, swing-weight and playfulness.
Stay tuned to Freeskier.com as we'll be posting updates, photo galleries, action videos and product preview videos. Also, for up-to-the-minute news be sure to follow the hashtag #FreeskierFest on Twitter and Instagram.
The results of the Park-Ski Test will be revealed in our 2012/2013 Buyer's Guide, which drops this fall. To be the first to get the magazine, subscribe to the print mag or subscribe through Apple's Newsstand.
