Those anxious for a dose of serious freeride action are pleased to know that organizers have confirmed the Xtreme Verbier contest date for tomorrow, Saturday, March 29th. Following an inspection last week and sighting incoming weather, the contest was put on hold and the decision has paid off with up to 80cm of new snow accumulating on the Bec des Rosses’ North Face.

The vastly improved conditions will be sure to make for a good show as hungry competitors face off for the coveted world title on a face where there is little margin for error. The contest begins with women’s snowboarding at 8:30am CET (1:30am MST) and can be watched live on the Freeride World Tour website. If you’re lucky enough to be in Verbier, lifts start spinning at 7am to get spectators up to the venue.
