I didn’t expect to be sitting in the North American July heat, watching former Freeride World Tour champion Kristofer Turdell team up with legendary freeride skier Paddy Graham, but here we are. “The Road to Riksgränsen” is a new series from Peak Performance, which follows these two iconic riders on their journey to collect turns and memories in the waning hours of the 2025 ski season. In the high reaches of Sweden, the fjords harbor prolonged cold temperatures, stable conditions and fantastic snow.

From midnight ski laps under a blazing orange glow to steep and deep laps in unexpected couloirs, Graham and Turdell are able to explore some of the most picturesque skiing on planet earth around the one and only Riksgränsen. Well, it’s a bit more picturesque when it’s Graham and Turdell making turns. Follow freeski legends Kristofer Turdell and Paddy Graham as they embark on a road trip through the border of northern Sweden, chasing the final snowfalls under the glowing Arctic midnight sun.

In this first episode, Väderfönster, the duo weaves through shifting weather patterns and 24-hour light, in search of untouched lines and fleeting moments of magic.

As the season edges toward its end, the road to Riksgränsen becomes a journey of exploration, play, and heritage, culminating in the iconic Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships. A special thanks to Dometic for providing the essential campaign equipment that fueled this epic journey.

Surrounded by fresh snow on the beach with their eyes on a couloir in the morning, Kristofer and Paddy experienced the pure reward of a long climb through powder-laden birch forests leading to untouched, steep, and flowing descents with 30 centimeters of fresh snow in the second episode of “The Road To Riksgränsen”.
