There are dynamic duos, and then there’s Laurent De Martin (LDM) and Sampo Valloton. The two Swiss freeskiers have some of the most distinct and enjoyable styles in the sport. The two recently created a new ski company last year under the name Simply. Recreation Club, which aims to get skiers back on a pair of planks that they can enjoy. Innovative design, quality materials and local production—It’s as simple as that. LDM and Valloton created a film over the course of last winter to showcase their vision for a new era of enjoyable skiing. Away from competitions and high-pressure situations, the two let the creativity flow in “The Art of Recreation.” Made in collaboration with the talented minds at Level 1 Productions, the film is an incredible 10 minutes that will pull you into a world of its own.
