Lucas Wachs’ appetite for new adventures seems to be insatiable—an endless search for unique features to express one’s creativity. We’ve come to know and love Lucas Wachs for his fluid and artistic approach to the mountains and his newest project, “Wave Length,” is no exception. Of course we always look forward to seeing what Wachs gets himself into, but it’s important to remember that seeking out new terrain on skis is as much about the adventure getting there as it is about what you find.

Featuring Wachs along with friends and athletes Chris Logan, Stratton Matteson and Zak Mills, these boys use sleds, planes and their own two feet to stand atop towering peaks with big lines in mind. Whether he’s throwing a massive 720, hauling ass through steep and narrow couloirs or simply creating a perfect arc, we’re always here to catch Lucas Wachs’ wave length.

From YouTube:

The joy of life and the pleasure of being together and riding, then extending the quest through a fabulous journey to the semi-arid panderosa pine forests of Oregon, the anthracite forests and ice-frozen canyons of Idaho; and finally Alaska, where the verticality of the lines in perfect snow and cold blue skies has no equal.

The men, on one or two boards, driven by Lucas’ enthusiasm, progressing through wild landscapes to reach the immaculate snows of North America. An adventure captured by Eric Parker’s piercing eye and Jacob Callaghan’s harmonious direction. It’s skiing as we like it, joyful and adventurous, with an anthology run in divine snow to conclude.

Voilà.
