Simon Dumont takes a stand in new "12 Days of Sochi" promo

Coverage of the Sochi Olympic Games begins February 6 on NBC, and to drive some hype, the folks at the network have unveiled this, the “12 Days of Sochi,” presented by the 2014 Olympic Hopefuls Choir. Freeskiers featured in the video include Torin Yater-Wallace, Maddie Bowman, Tom Wallisch, Gus Kenworthy, Devin Logan, Bobby Brown, Grete Eliassen, Nick Goepper and Keri Herman. While each of those guys play along, and sing with a smile, our favorite moment in the video comes at the 1:20 mark, when Simon Dumont appears, straight faced, lazily banging on his instrument, as if to say, “No, I will not be your puppet.” Kudos to The Dumont for taking a stand. Even Bob Costas, king of the cheesy fireside chat, should have known better than to let this video happen.
