Tonight, skiing’s own Rory Bushfield was crowned champion of ABC’s hit television series, “Splash.” A new addition to ABC’s line-up this year, the show documented a select group of celebrities attempting to perform high dives. As the show progressed, week over week, the challenges increased in difficulty. After battling a handful of contestants over the course of the seven-week-long program, Rory advanced to the final show, where he faced off against Nicole Eggert, formerly of “Baywatch,” and Drake Bell, star of “Drake & Josh.” Bushfield clinched the title with a two-and-a-half from a 10m platform.
Following the conclusion of the program, Bushy announced via Twitter the release of his new “Best of Rory Bushfield” edit, which features highlights of his skiing career, daredevilish stunts off-snow, and more. The footage comes courtesy of MSP, TGR, Sherpas, PBP, Level 1 and Nitro Circus, among others. While many Splash fans will be Googling Bushy’s name in the weeks and months to come, we can only hope they’ll stumble upon this new clip—perhaps then they’ll get an idea of where Rory gets his sense of aerial awareness. Enjoy!
