We’ve been having a great time keeping up with Nico Porteous as the Kiwi keeps dropping behind-the-scenes looks at his winter through his new series, “PHASE.” From making a Bent 120 with Atomic to surfing deep pow in Japan, the series has been quality through and through. In the fifth episode, we get a peek at one of the best events in freeskiing – the Swatch Nines.
The Nines is typically characterized by a park that feels like a blend between a ski video game and a lunar science fiction movie. The features are gargantuan and the riding is the cream of the crop. Here, filmer Chris Maunsell follows Porteous and friends to deliver a unique vision of this wild event.
