It’s that oh-so wonderful time of year when we’re patiently waiting for an influx of ski film trailers from all over the world. But, an intriguing Hollywood trailer just totally distracted us and you need to know about it.

It’s the trailer for the new xXx movie The Return of Xander Cage, starring—you know it—Vin frickin’ Diesel. In this installment of the smash-hit action series, there’s some buck-wild jungle skiing featuring the talent of three pro skiers: Cody Townsend, LJ Strenio and Sandy Boville.

Townsend, Strenio and Boville announced their participation in the film this morning via Instagram, explaining how the they got to head to the Dominic Republic in March to help Mr. Diesel out with the new flick.

“We spent two weeks, building, digging and prepping in the steamy hot jungles of the Dominican Republic for a two-day whirlwind of… yes, skiing through the jungle. Anyways, it was a dream come true to work as a stuntman and today the trailer for the movie dropped, where all three of us stunt skiers have shots,” Townsend wrote on Instagram.

Skiers have served as stunt doubles in big-time movies dating back to the old-school 007 days, but never like this—Vin Diesel stunt doubles in the Domincan Republic’s jungles. Needless to say, we’ll be heading to the big screen when this thing comes out in January 2017.

So last March, @ljstrenio @sandyboville and I found ourselves on an island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea a long long way from snow. Strange thing was, we were there to go skiing. Even stranger, we were there to ski and stunt double for @vindiesel in the upcoming action flick "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage".
