Must-Watch: This thoughtful short film is ultra deep in more ways than one

When Mark Abma, Dana Flahr and Chris Rubens headed into British Columbia’s Kootenay Mountains last season—surrounded by deep snow and natural hot springs—the importance of water became a common theme in conversation. Without this element, all of the beauty they were reveling in would be gone.

With help from geologist Glenn Woodsworth and First Nations member Vern Shanoss, the crew put together this beautiful and eye-opening video that explains water’s significance in the Kootenays, complemented by some dreamy skiing footage. Watch, enjoy and don’t forget to stop and appreciate nature next time you’re on the hill.
