Mellow park laps with Wesson, Keefer, Parry and friends in WCS8 day two edit

The sun decided to make a brief appearance for day two of West Coast Session 8 at Timberline Lodge. Despite a bit of snow and clouds for the majority of the day, skiers Matt Heffernan, Andy Parry, Maximiliam Smith, Cole Gibson, Will Wesson, Nicky Keefer and Will Berman still managed to log some banger footage from atop the glacier.

West Coast Session’s Ethan Stone commented that, “after the previous evening’s Cinco de Mayo festivities, only a handful of riders were up early enough to catch the sunshine on the slopes at Timberline before some clouds rolled in. Those who arrived late experienced more of the stormy, snowy conditions that have kept this year’s WCS a wintry affair.”

He goes on to talk about the stacked crew of riders in attendance, “nevertheless, after a few days of lapping Timberline’s parks, the crew was ready to take the level up a notch. Some new arrivals, including Nicky Keefer, Clayton Vila and Sean Jordan have filled out this year’s WCS flock to full strength, and even two Oregon skiing legends, Sammy Carlson and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, stopped by to check out the scene.”

With a few days of rail skiing in the books, the athletes in attendance will now look to go airborne, as Stone says that “With clear skies forecasted for tomorrow and a monster multi-transition jump awaiting the crew, it’s a safe bet that the action will intensify here at West Coast Session 8.”
