This week, Freeskier’s Nate Abbott joined Max Morello for a live Google+ Hangout. Morello, still widely unknown among the skiing masses, graces the cover of our October issue (Volume 16.2); the photo was snapped by Abbott in Detroit, while on location shooting for Poor Boyz Productions’ Tracing Skylines.

Morello recalls the dark and thrilling experience of skiing in Detroit, he discusses his shock at discovering he’d landed on our cover, and further, Morello explains how he still doesn’t have a ski sponsor—but that ain’t stopping him.
