What’s left to do when your season working as ski guide in Japan starts winding down? Go skiing—but this time, do it without those pesky tourists following you around. Featuring skiers Benny Schmitt and Garrett Russell, and filmed by Jeffery Lowe, the next three minutes will have you reeling in your seat, itching to get to Hokkaido.
In his own words, Schmitt explains, “With such a slow start to the season across most of the West, it seems as if the whole ski industry has been in Japan this January. Film and photo crews, the FWT [Freeride World Tour], Industry teams, powder hounds alike are here—and are taking advantage of the infamous Japanese POW. It’s been tasty to say the least.”
