Last season, Jacob Wester set out on an incredibly unique skiing mission—traveling by van throughout the Arctic Circle and bagging as many peaks as possible along the way. The skier weaved through the northern sections of Norway and his home nation, Sweden, enjoying the journey with Simon Ericson, Lucas Ståhl-Madison, Per Spett and Emile Bergeron. In between days on the mountain, they’d stop by the ocean to surf, camp and take in the scenery.

In other words, these dudes went on a total dream trip. And, fortunately, they documented much of it in this beautiful 11-minute short film, titled Unfiltered Skiing.

The largest ice shelf to ever break off from Antarctica is cutting herself loose into the ocean as we speak, and in the next few weeks we'll have to watch and see how the world's biggest ever recorded iceberg will behave. Meanwhile, the valley of Chamonix just got her first dusting of snow in 6 weeks… These times sure are crazy and I think everyone will have to get used to the idea of changing the way we inhabit this planet, sooner than we might think.
