“Dream” – The Comeback and Determination of Kuura Koivisto, presented by Armada

Kuura Koivisto was on track to be one of the best up & coming skiers in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. But in Mammoth, California on January 9th, 2022, Kuura blew out his right knee during qualifiers. Nine months after surgery, he was back on the hill in his home country of Finland tearing apart every feature the early season park had to offer. Today, he’s skiing as if he never missed a day. It all begs the question; how on earth does someone come back from an injury like that with so much efficiency?

“Dream,” directed by the talented Arttu Heikkinen and presented by Armada, explains, gives us viewers a first hand look at Kuura’s insane drive and grit. We watch as he climbs from surgery to success. His workouts and physical therapy are intense, but his determination is even stronger. As we see throughout the documentary, whether it’s landing a massive trick or running that extra sprint, Kuura truly has no quit. Look no further than his stand out performance in the recent “Forre Movie 2.” It’ll show you exactly what Kuura is capable of and how far he’s come in the short time since his injury. With another Winter Olympics approaching, and plenty of fresh landings to stomp this winter, Kuura’s dream is no where near over.
