Don’t forget to bring a snorkel; DPS Skis gets deep at Mt. Baker in “Whitewash”

Mt. Baker Ski Area boasts the highest annual average snowfall of any ski area in North America. During the 1998-99 season, 1,140 inches of the white stuff blanketed the resort. While the Northern Washington ski area is usually bestowed with jaw dropping snow totals, last season started out a bit dry. Eventually, Mother Nature made her appearance, and Baker ended up with over 600 inches of accumulation.

DPS athletes Zack Giffin, Piers Solomon and Olof Larsson were fortunate to experience some of that late season precipitation, as a powerful winter storm hit Baker for ten straight days, making for some prime storm skiing. The trio’s adventure is chronicled in DPS Skis’ latest episode of its series The Shadow Campaign, “Whitewash.”
