Opening with a gut-wrenching avalanche scene, the trailer for Blank Collective’s Canvas will leave you hanging on to the edge of your seat from the moment “drop!” crackles over the radio.
The film’s title is easy enough to understand. Metaphorically and literally, the mountain is a “canvas” for skiers, a medium that allows us to paint lines across white sheets of snow that mother nature has laid before us—a place to create and make a mark. And that is exactly what the skiers featured in Canvas— such as Alexi Godbout, Stan Rey, JF Houle, Josh Daiek, Vincent Gagnier, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Dean Bercovich, Dana Flahr and Maxim Arsenault—proceed to do.
With massive urban features juxtaposed against intimidating backcountry, every single scene from this trailer is action-packed and suspense-building. Though the exact date is still TBD, the film is set to be released for free online this November. This is one to keep on your radar.
