At 99-and-a-half-year-old, George Jedenoff has completely stolen our hearts. Jedenoff started skiing Utah’s Alta and Snowbird resorts 57 years ago in 1960 and he returns every year to make some turns. He is someone we can all aspire to be like one day, but in the meantime, take some of George’s advice on happiness to heart:
“I’ve learned that you’ve got to love it no matter what kind of weather you’ve got, or else you’re not a skier.”
“Be grateful for everything you’ve got. Don’t lament about the things that you don’t have, be grateful for the things that you do have.”
“Don’t let the negative things get ahead of you. Stay positive and you’ll be a lot happier.”
Surely we can all learn something from George. And perhaps, if you’re lucky enough, you’ll find yourself next to him on Alta’s Wildcat Lift to experience his wisdom firsthand.
