Woodward Copper has a variety of new surprises for summer shred 2k16

As March rolls on, Copper Mountain and Woodward Copper are gearing up for yet another epic summer of shred. Now in its eighth year, Woodward Copper is excited to announce a slew of exciting new changes for the coming summer. This year, campers can enjoy the all-new Surface Lift in Central Park. The new “magic carpet” style lift is 1,000 feet long, providing easy access to the terrain park all damn summer. Also, Woodward is happy to offer a new top-to-bottom speaker system to keep you pumped up as you try new tricks under the Colorado sun.

On top of that, Copper is happy to reveal that this year, they have produced more snow than ever before, guaranteeing snow for nine week-long sessions of skiing. The resort’s snowmaking team has produced 167 acres of snow in the Central Park area to keep the stoke going as long as possible. Combine that with the resort’s 180 inches of natural snow and you’ve got the recipe for one helluva good party.

New Surface Lift in Central Park

Ski campers are set to have a brand new Sunkid Surface lift available during Central Park on-snow sessions. This “magic carpet” lift is 1,000 feet long providing 215 feet of vertical rise, making it the longest surface lift in Colorado. For the first time in Woodward Copper Summer Camp history, all nine weeks of on-snow sessions will be lift-accessed. With the carpet ride lasting just five minutes, campers will maximize their time on-snow to hone in skills better than ever before.

Improving the On-Snow Experience

Woodward Copper is committed to improving the overall summer camp experience. In 2016, Central Park will be outfitted with a new sound system providing top-to-bottom communication and of course, great music. Central Park will also have a new shade zone, providing campers with a comfortable spot to relax and take a break from skiing.

More Snow Equals More Stoke

Copper Mountain’s snowmaking team went above and beyond during the 15/16 winter season by creating 167 acre feet of snow in Woodward Copper’s Central Park area. Combined with 180 inches of snow on the season, this allows for nine weeks of summer skiing.
