Sammy Carlson is officially the newest member of the Armada Skis family. The Oregon-born skier and Armada announced their new partnership with the release of a snow-filled video, shown above. Carlson joins the likes of Armada athletes Tanner Hall, Torin Yater-Wallace, Jacob Wester, Henrik Harlaut, Phil Casabon, Mike Hornbeck, Todd Ligare, Kim Boberg, Riley Leboe, Maude Raymond and many more. Can you say dream team?
Most recently, Sammy captured his third-straight X Games Real Ski gold medal and also captured the 2015 Skier of the Year title, as voted by professional freeskiers across the map. This season, Carlson can be seen rocking Armada’s Sherwin Gore-Tex 3L jacket, the Crest Gore-Tex 3L pant, the always-awesome EDollo skis and the timeless JJ 2.0 skis for extra deep days (seen in the footage above).
“I’m so hyped to be joining the AR team, alongside some of my favorite riders in the game, and represent the Armada legacy,” stated Sammy in a text message today. “It sparks new energy for me. It’s important for me to represent companies and products that I believe in. It’s been a long time coming, and I finally made it home.”
Congratulations to both Sammy and Armada on the partnership. We’re certainly stoked to be along for the ride, as the new collaboration develops. It’s safe to say that we can expect very big things in the years ahead.
